"Where are My Soldiers?"
:[ info ]:
Vocals: Catman Cohen, Elly K

Catman says:

"In my younger years, I often socialized with men 15 to 20 years older than me. Having grown up as an awkward, intellectual nerd, I looked toward these experienced fellows as mentors particularly in navigating me through the mysterious "world of women." At times, I felt like we were a band of soldiers, united toward achieving mutual goals against inimical forces aiming to thwart our dreams. In the last several years, many of my older mentors have died and there are times I feel the vacuum in my heart in the worst way. When there are fewer good friends around, then there are fewer phone calls to make in order to share each triumph...and equally fewer shoulders to lean upon in times of crisis or despair. Although I designed this song as a tribute to dead mentors, in its use of military metaphors, the song has become a favorite of my friends in the anti-war movement."
