Chariot! was started as an answer to avant-garde "free-form" bands such as Friends of Harry(FOH) and guys who laugh and blow into PVC piping and call it music. D Lux, Beast, Q, Maestro, and Buzz would get together to slug some malts and trade riffs. That evolved into the eponymous debut in 2003, recorded at Grisly Labs (www.grislylabs.com) in downtown Jersey City over 9 month period. Straight-up rock and roll. Drink beer. Rock. Do it again next week. The band is headed back to the studio this February to track the next installment. Look for it in late Spring. |
